Boyd Law Triple Play Scholarship
Presented by J. Curtis Boyd, P.A., in recognition of outstanding Academic Achievement, Sportsmanship and Community Service.
I am pleased to announce that my law firm is providing a $1,000.00 scholarship to a Ft. Pierce Little League player this season, intended to go towards college expenses, and to be disbursed upon high school graduation. All 12 year olds in majors baseball are eligible to apply. The criteria are set forth above, and the following is required for application and consideration:
Academic
Player must provide a current report card, along with a brief recommendation statement from a current teacher.
Sportsmanship
Player must provide a brief statement from a current coach attesting to the player’s consistent outstanding good sportsmanship.
Community Service
Player must provide documentation of community service or related activities and “good deeds.”
In addition to the above, an applicant must submit an essay on his Little League experience, and why the three categories are important to him.
Applications must be submitted no later than Monday, April 18, 2016, and should be delivered to my office at 500 S. U.S. Hwy. 1.
