Curtis Boyd Settles Dog Bite Case

Curtis Boyd, a local St. Lucie County attorney received a settlement of $225,000 for a local client who was bitten by a dog. The client, a nurse,
was attacked while on the job at a nursing home.

The dog’s owner brought the dog to the nursing home to see a relative who was staying there. The dog attacked the nurse. The bite took a chunk of flesh out of her forearm.

“It was an unfortunate incident that will affect my client for years,” stated Boyd. “She is afraid to be around dogs after the unprovoked attack.”

J. Curtis Boyd was raised in Fort Pierce, Florida. Earning his law credentials from the University of Florida, Curtis returned to his hometown and has been serving residents in the community for 20 years. Many of his friends are his clients, and many clients become his friends.
