Curtis Boyd recognized at Westwood Groundbreaking Ceremony

Curtis Boyd, a local St. Lucie County attorney, and proud Ft. Pierce Westwood Alumnus, was recognized during the Fort Pierce Westwood Academy groundbreaking ceremony by Principal Alfonso and Mayor Hudson for his continued support of the school over the last thirty years.

Curtis was a star high school quarterback for the Panthers and has remained involved in the school over the years.  He has been a volunteer coach, donated scholarships and been a mentor to students.

“Westwood has always been an important part of my life and it was amazing to be recognized by such distinguished members during the ceremony” stated Boyd.  “I can’t wait to see the new school complete and the impact it will have on our community and the many students who attend.”

Westwood has evolved into the only STEAM magnet high school on the Treasure Coast, and includes programs for Pharmacy Tech, Computer Science, Health Unit Coordinator, Veterinarian Assistant, Agri-Technology, and Robotics & Engineering.  The new Fort Pierce Westwood Academy is scheduled to open in 2026.

J. Curtis Boyd was raised in Fort Pierce, Florida. Earning his law credentials from the University of Florida, Curtis returned to his hometown and has been serving residents in the community for 30 years. Many of his friends are his clients, and many clients become his friends.
